Bangalore: A Shaheedi Samagam was held on Sunday 9th October 2016 in Bangalore Gurudwara Sahib to commemorate 24th anniversary of martyrdom of Bhai Sukha-Jinda which involved seminar, presentations & discussions on ideological and historical context & current phase of the Sikh struggle.
Views were presented by various Sikh youth explaining the inspiration behind the Sikh Struggle against brahamanical forces and oppressive state Discussions also happened on the recent historical context of the current struggle for sovereignty. The General Sangat was made aware of the current situation and the dismal and negative role of Sate Institutions like Legislative, Judiciary and Media.
Presentations were shown to emphasis and explain the real Sukha–Jinda. The excerpts from the letters of Sukha-Jinda were showed to explain the valiant, humble and determined personalities of Sukha-Jinda driven by real Sikh Values.
On the sidelines of this program, the documentary movie “Final Assault” was also screened for General Sangat.The program was concluded urging Sikh Sangat and specifically Sikh Youth to realize and practice basic Sikh Values in spirit taking inspiration from Sikh History and to never have confusion or differentiate between old and recent Shaheeds by showing same respect and reverence to Bhai Sukha-Jinda what normally is showed to Sukha Singh – Mehtab Singh or Garja Singh – Bota Singh.
