Who doesn’t know, Bikram Majithia is “Drug Lord” of Punjab, alleges AAP leader Chhotepur

May 23, 2016 | By

Chandigarh: Aam Aadmi Party Punjab convenor Sucha Singh Chhotepur has alleged that Punjab Cabinet minister Bikram Majithia as a “drug lord”- an allegation that Bikram Majitha rejects. AAP leaders have intensified their propaganda war agaisnt Bikram Majithia after Majithia filed defamation cases against senior leaders of the Aam Aadmi Party.

In a written statement (issued on on May 22) AAP state convener Sucha Singh Chhotepur said that it is not AAP only, which is calling Bikramjit Singh Majithia as “Drug Lord”, rather every Punjabi knows it very well that he is patronizing the entire drug network in the state.

He maintained that by filing defamation cases against senior AAP leaders, Majithia cannot escape and make fool of the Punjabis, who are smart enough to understand his (Majithia’s) move in a bid to divert their attention from the real issue of menace of drug in Punjab.

“Being a Punjabi, I feel ashamed to know that Punjab Government is opening country’s first de-addition centre for women.  When SAD-BJP claims that there is no menace of drug in Punjab, where was the need to open drug-addiction centre, that too for women?” he quipped.

Rather than admitting the fact that Punjab is under the grab of drugs and taking remedial steps, Badals are putting all their energy to disown the fact of drug menace in Punjab, Chhotepur said adding that had Parkash Singh Badal taken action against Majithia at an appropriate time, the situation on drug would not have gone out of hand, he added.
