Ludhiana, Punjab (December 22, 2012): According to media reprots the Pakistan government has authorized the Delhi Sikh Gurudwara Management Committee (DSGMC) to undertake renovation work at two historic Sikh Gurdwaras situated in the Pakistan.
According to DSGMC President Paramjeet Singh Sarna the Pakistan authorities have asked the DSGMC to conduct the ‘Kar Sewa‘ (religious service) of Gurudwara Dera Sahib, Lahore and Gurudwara Ber Sahib, Sialkot. Sarna has recently returned from Pakistan.
Sarna has reportedly told that the Dewan hall of Gurudwara Dera Sahib would be raised and the Archaeological department of Pakistan shall be taken into confidence in this regard.
“We will also form an expert committee along with the finance committee to carry out the construction work,” Sarna reportedly added.
As per media reports there are more than five hundred Sikh Gurdwaras and other historical Sikh places in Pakistan, except 20 all others are in bad condition.
