Earthquake hits northen Afghanistan and Pakistan; Shocks observed in Punjab, Delhi, Chandigarh

Chandigarh: Shocks of earthquake were observed across north-India region after 6.5 earthquake hit parts of northern Afghanistan and Pakistan late on Friday (Dec. 25). Shocks were observed in Chandigarh, Punjab, Haryana Delhi and Jammu and Kashmir.

There were no immediate reports of casualties.

Tremors were felt in the Afghan capital Kabul and the Pakistani capital Islamabad. Seismological monitors in the United States said the location was 81 km (50 miles) southeast of the Afghan city of Feyzabad.
