New Delhi/ Mohali, India/ Punjab (June 22, 2013): As per information available with Sikh Siyasat News (SSN) the Delhi Police has registered an FIR against a Facebook users who was using abusive language against Sikh Gurus. On the complaint of a Sikh resident of Delhi, named Jasvinder Singh, the Tilak Nagar Police Station of West Delhi District has registered FIR number 322 on June 20, 2013 under section 295-A of Indian Penal Code (IPC).
The First Information Report (FIR), a copy of which is available with Sikh Siyasat News (SSN), reveals that the complaint Jasvinder Singh a written complaint to the Delhi police. The complaint reads as follows:

Sir, we the members of Voice of Voiceless request you to please register our FIR and take immediate action against (1) Amit Sharma (www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=1000002343465829 (2.) LEO SINGH BACK (www.facebook.com/leo.singhback) under appropriate action of Indian Penal Code. An urgent action is expected by Delhi Police against these persons who are creating Religious Disharmony. Within two communities. These people use abusive language against GURU GOVIND SINGH JI MAHARAJ.. thus immensely hurting Sikh Community. We urge you to take cour complaint.
S. Jasvinder Singh told Sikh Siyasat News (SSN) over phone that Amit Sharma reportedly hails from Mohali, Punjab. These persons were indulged in very offensive activities and it was hard to ignore their activities, he added.
“We launched an FIR with Delhi police on June 20; and now we have learnt that motivated from our action some Sikhs have registered cases against these persons in Punjab as well”, Jasvinder Singh told SSN.
He hoped that the police shall take appropriate in this matter.
Meanwhile, when Sikh Siyasat News (SSN) attempted to access Amit Sharma’s profile, it was found that the profile was not accessible and an alert/error message: “Profile Unavailable – Sorry, this profile is not available at the moment. Please try again shortly.” was displayed by the Facebook.
An information technology specialist told Sikh Siyasat News that this might be the result of police action against the profile holder.
