July 11, 2012 | By

Jalandhar, Punjab (July 11, 2012): As per a press release sent by AISSF (Peermohammad) president, Karnail Singh Peermohammad: “Taking a strong note of mischievous and malicious statements made by Kuldip Nayar in his recent book “Beyond the Lines: An autobiography” regarding Shaheed Bhai Amrik Singh President All India Sikh Students Federation (AISSF) and Shaheed Sant Jarnail Singh Bhindranwale, AISSF announced that it will start “Book Burning Campaign” on July 17 in front of Nayar’s residence in Delhi”.

AISSF President Karnail Singh Peermohammad demanded “Lotus Roli”, the publisher of Nayar’s book to immediately withhold the sale of the controversial book till the chapter “Punjab In Flames” is removed. If “Lotus Roli” fails to remove the spiteful chapter about AISSF and Sant Bhindranwale, Federation will pursue legal action.

Nayar who has been appearing on Panthic stages to gain legitimacy and popularity among Sikh community has finally revealed his true colors by vomiting venom and misinformation by calling Federation President Shaheed Bhai Amrik Singh as IB agent and Shaheed Sant Jarnail Singh Bhindranwale as “creation of Congress” stated Peermohammad.

Vowing to defend the name and reputation of AISSF and its leadership, current President of AISSF stated that Nayar’s false statements regarding former Federation President Bhai Amrik Singh and Sant Bhindanwale, is a clear attempt to malign the reputation of Federation and Sikh leaders who enjoy iconic status among Sikh community. Referring to Kamal Nath’s assertion regarding Sant Bhindranwale, Federation President added that this is a vicious attempt by a Congress stooge Nayar to undermine the momentum of Sikh Genocide Justice Campaign launched by Federation under the auspices of Sri Akal Takhat Sahib.

Kamal Nath and Congress (I) are facing Genocide charges in a US Federal Court in a case filed by Sikhs for Justice (SFJ) and victims of November 1984 for conspiring, aiding, abetting and carrying out organized attacks on Sikhs population of India during November 1984.

Since 1978, Federation has been in the forefront of struggle for Sikhs rights and separate identity of Sikhism and resultantly thousands of its members have been tortured and extra judicially killed by security forces to silence the voice of justice. Since 2007, Federation has successfully brought witnesses and evidence against Jagdish Tytler, Kamal Nath, Sajjan Kumar, Amitabh Bachchan and Congress party for their role in November 1984 Genocide of Sikhs.

Questioning the credibility of Tarlochan Singh and calling him “morally bankrupt”, Federation President Peermohammad questioned what yardstick and information he has to judge the character of Sant Bhindranwale while he himself silently watched the cold blooded murder of Sikhs during June and November 1984 for which Tarlochan has been rewarded with government patronage. Tarlochan who was assistant to Giani Zail Singh was nominated as Member Parliament, was appointed as Chairman Minority Commission and is currently enjoying the post of Vice President Indian Olympic Association.
