Five Member Committee Announces 3 Hour Demonstrations Outside Two Jails

Chandigarh: A ‘Five Member Committee’ appointed by Bhai Jagtar Singh Hawara has announced to hold two protest demonstrations outside two jails in Chandigarh and Punjab for three hours each.

As per a poster posted on Facebook page of World Sikh Parliament, the five member committee has announced to hold a protest demonstration outside the Burail Jail Chandigarh on 9 March and another demonstration outside the Maximum security jail in Nabha on March 17.

The committee comprising Advo. Amar Singh Chahal, S. Narien Singh Chaura, Prof. Baljinder Singh, S. Jaspal Singh and Master Santokh Singh has requested ‘Panthic’ organisations to take part in these demonstrations to be held from 12 to 3 pm on aforesaid days ‘so as to get the demands of the demonstrations fulfilled from the government’.

The list of demands included in the poster reads: “Punishment for culprits of Beadbi of Guru Granth Sahib”; “Punishment to culprits of Behbal Kalan firing incident, including former DGP Sumedh Saini, Parkash Singh Badal and Sukhbir Singh Badal”; “Release of Bandi Singhs”; “Punishment to culprits of Nakodar Kand” and “Punishment to culprits of Maur blast case”.
