Greet any visiting Indian Parliamentarian with Azaadi slogans: Geelani to Kashmiris

August 9, 2016 | By

Srinagar: While referring to the visit of some parliament members of the strife torn state, All Parties Hurriyat Conference, chairman Syed Ali Geelani said that it is surprising that law makers in Delhi only wake up from their slum sleep by death and destruction of Kashmiris.

“Indian armed forces and local police have unleashed the reign of terror in the state slitting the throats of more than 60 innocents, blinding about 400, injuring about 6000 and after complete one month brutal carnage, these people are coming to “sooth” our wounds”, reads a statement issued by the APHC.

Pro-freedom Kashmiri leader said that these people are not ready to come out of the cocoon of their so-called “national interest” and appealed the people that wherever they go, whichever place they visit whether hospitals or localities they should be welcomed by slogans of Azadi (freedom).

“They should be told unanimously and in one voice that no employment, no package, no development and even no mockery of so-called negotiations, can fade or weaken the zest of our demand for Azadi”, he added.

“It should be conveyed to them in more than clear terms that our struggle will continue till the last Indian solider on our soil. Referring to the widespread arrest spree throughout state, Geelani Sahab said that policemen join the demonstrations in civil dresses, identify the youth and then arrest them in nocturnal raids”, said Geelani.

He maintained that in police station Kashmiris are subjected to worse kind of torture and inhuman and uncivilized treatment and ransom is demanded for their release.

Hurriyat chairman strongly condemned continuous solitary confinement of his secretary Peer Saifullah who is suffering from Brain Tumor and in case his condition deteriorates government will be itself responsible for the consequences.

Referring to the anti-minorities posters especially Pundit’s, Syed Ali Geelani said that these are mischievous acts of the agencies and requested people particularly youth of South Kashmir including Pulwama to check the credentials of such posters and culprits involved and make their identity public so that they will be dealt with accordingly.
