Gujarat Election Results 2017: BJP Takes Lead in Close Contest with Congress

Chandigarh: The counting of votes for Himachal Pradesh and Gujarat started this morning. The trends show that BJP is having lead in Himachal Pradesh (HP) a state that was ruled by the Congress party, where as trends show close contest between BJP and Congress party in Gujarat, a state that is under BJP rule for past 2 decades.

Gujarat Trends at 9:37 am:

BJP = 95

Congress+ = 86

Others = 1

Trends/Total Number of Seats = 182/182

Gujarat Trends at 9:20 am:

Congress+ = 85

BJP = 77

Others = 3

Trends/Total Number of Seats = 165/182

Himachal Pradesh Trends at 9:20 am

BJP = 38

Congress+ = 23

Others = 1

Trends/Total Number of Seats = 62/68
