Ambala: Bhai Gurbaksh Singh Khalsa who is observing continues and indefinite hunger strike since November 14 has hardened his stance regarding his demands. Gurbaksh Singh Khalsa is seeking permanent release of 7 Sikh political prisoners who were sentenced to imprisonment for life by Indian courts and who have already served the terms of their sentence.
Bhai Gurbaksh Singh Khasla, who is reportedly surviving only on water since November 14, has set deadline of January 02, 2015. He declared that he will stop drinking water if concerned Sikh prisoners were not release before Jan. 02.
Gurbaksh Singh Khalsa who had ended his 44 days hunger strike on assurance of Akal Takht Jathedar Giani Gurbachan Singh said that no body would be able to ‘misguide’ him this time. He said that he would not end his hunger strike till his death unless the concerned Sikhs are released on permanent basis.
It is notable that Akal Takht Jathedar Giani Gurbachan Singh recently declared to discuss the issue of Sikh political prisoners in January 02 meeting of five Singh Sahibs. Giani Gurbachan Singh also criticized governments of India and Punjab for their failure to address the issue of premature release of Sikh political prisoners.
Representatives of Bandi Singhs Rihai Morcha (Lakhnaur Sahib, Ambala) said that though the condition of Bhai Gurbaksh Singh Khalsa is stable but he has turned very week due to continues starvation.
