Gurdwara Hemkunt Sahib Yatra to start on May 31

Mohali: Yatra to Gurdwara Hemkunt Sahib will begin on May 31 this year. The Gurdwara Sahib located in snowy hills opens for limited period of time during summers. Uttrakhand Chief minister Harish Rawat will flag off the yatra from Gobind Ghat on May 31.

The Hemkunt Sahib Management Trust is said to have completed necessary arrangements to accommodate the yatris. Narinderjeet Singh Bindra, vice president of Hemkunt Sahib Management Trust said that the damage caused by cloud burst in 2013 has been repaired. He said that the construction of a news road has reduced the trek by 4 kilometers.
