NewDelhi: A Delhi court yesterday (Dec. 12) sent the Khalistan Liberation Force chief Harminder Singh Mintoo to judicial custody till December 14.
Bhai Harminder Singh Mintoo’s counsel in Punjab, Advocate Jaspal Singh Manjhpur told Sikh Siyasat News (SSN) over phone that the the Punjab police had approached the Delhi court to get transit remand of Harminder Singh Mintoo but main judge was on leave and duty magistrate refused to entertain the plea.
The court of duty magistrate Satvir Singh Lamba sent Harminder Singh Mintoo to Tihar Jail after the Delhi Police said they did not require him for further custodial interrogation. The court said that Punjab police’s plea could be heard by regular court on December 14.
