Bhai Harminder SIngh Mintoo
Jalandhar, Punjab: Jalandhar duty magistrate Simran Singh sent Bhai Harminder Singh Mintoo to jail on judicial custody. Harminder Singh Mintoo was on police remand since November 8 after his arrest from Delhi airport by Punjab police on Nov. 07.
Harminder Singh Mintoo’s counsel Jaspal Singh Manjhpur told Sikh Siyasat News (SSN) over phone that Bhai Harminder Singh Mintoo was booked by Jalandhar police in two cases. “Police booked him under FIR number 103/2009 and 102/2014. Police has shown recovery of an AK-47 and some other weapons in these cases” said Advocate Jaspal Singh Manjhpur.
Advocate JS Manjhpur informed that Harminder Singh Mintoo was physically and mentally fit. “He faced some complications due to his recently held heart bypass surgery, otherwise he is in ‘Charhdikala’,” said Advocate Manjhpur.
As there are eight other cases against Harminder Singh Mintoo, police from other districts may take him out on production warrants in coming days.
