Himmat Singh Shergill declared AAP candidate from Anandpur Sahib

Anandpur Sahib, Punjab (March 18, 2014): As per information the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has named Himmat Singh Shergill as its candidate from Anandpur Sahib.

A lawyer by profession, Himmat Singh Shergill, has been fighting the case of Gujarat Sikh farmers in the Supreme Court. He along with singer-actor had emerged as the two main contenders for the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) ticket from Anandpur Sahib constituency.
Shergill, who belongs to Chandigarh, had earlier said that he is the legal adviser to the party the ideology of which motivated him to join it.
Prof Nanak Singh, Dr Sohan Singh and Bhag Singh from Rupnagar besides others had applied for the ticket from this seat.
