Hindu Pilgrims From Indian Subcontinent Reach Pakistan for Katas Raj Yatra

Lahore: The Evacuee Trust Property Board (ETPB) of Pakistan said that several Hindu pilgrims from India arrived in Pakistan on Saturday (Dec. 14) to take part in annual Katas Raj yatra in Pakistan’s Punjab province.
Katas Raj is a complex of several Hindu temples connected to one another by walkways. It is situated in Chakwal district, 90 km south-east of Islamabad.

Aamir Hashmi, spokesperson of Evacuee Property Trust Board (ETPB) said: “Eighty-two Hindu pilgrims arrived here via Wagah Border Lahore on Friday and they left for Katas Raj in high security on Saturday”.
Hindu pilgrims were welcomed by Pakistani officials on their entry in Pakistan at Wagah.
It is learnt that as per an agreement between India and Pakistan Hindu pilgrims from India visit Pakistan four times a years.
Around Hindu yatris, including women, had reached in Pakistan on November 25 to attend the religious festivities in Sindh province.
