Talwandi Sabo, Punjab: Since the formation of Narendra Modi led Hindutva government in India, the Hindutva forces have intensified their efforts to distort Sikh identity. Hindutva fountain head Rashtriya Swayamsewan Sangh (RSS) has revived it’s controversial outfit ‘Rashtriya Sikh Sangat’ to conduct Hindutva activities while projecting Sikh faces.

Hindutva forces are working to ‘saffronize’ Sikh institutions in their attempt to secure assimilation of the Sikhs in to Hindutva fold. One such plan was reportedly foiled by Takht Damdama Sahib Jathedar Giani Balwant Singh Nandgarh.

RSS had secretly planned to hold a program at Takht Damdama Sahib. RSS men had reserved a date to hold Akhad Path Sahib at Takht Damdama Sahib. RSS’ plan was to release a Souvenir titled ‘Guru Maneo Ganth’.

Jathedar Balwant Singh Nandgarh reportedly sensed the plans of Hindutva bodies and prevented them from holding any such function. He directed SGPC officials to ensure that no such document is released during the Bhog of Sri Akhand Path Sahib.
