Indian Army Opened Fire On Protestors At Kupwara Encounter Site, 70-Years Old Killed

Kupwara: As per the media reports coming in from Kashmir, the Indian Army here on Thursday shortly after an attack on its base camp in which three of its soldiers including a captain were killed opened fire on the protesting local villagers as they were demanding the bodies of the slain attackers for the  funeral.

A 70-year-old civilian name Mohammad Yousuf Bhat was killed and seven people were injured during the protest that erupted against the establishment. A large number of people broke the army cordon, after which the soldiers opened fire. The clashes continued for hours and more than a dozen people had been reported to be injured in the area, notes Kashmiri Reader.
