India’s claim for extradition of Paramjit Singh Pamma lacks ground: Cases already acquitted against other co-accused

December 23, 2015 | By

Chandigarh: Indian authorities have reportedly requested the Portuguese authorities to grant extradition of Sikh activist Paramjit Singh Pamma in three cases: Rulda Singh murder case (2009), Ambala blast case (2009) and Arya Samaj (Patiala) blast case (2009). But according to legal experts India’s claims for extradition of Paramjit Singh Pamma were weak.

Advocate Jaspal Singh Manjhpur, who maintains the list of Sikh political prisoners detained/jailed worldwide, has released the documents related to aforesaid three cases.

“Trial against other persons framed by the police in all three cases (in which Paramjit Singh Pamma is named as a conspirator) have already ended, resulting in acquitted of all the persons who were tired”, Advocate Jaspal Singh Manjhpur said.

“When the alleged prime accused have been acquitted by the trial courts, the case for extradition of alleged conspirator lacks proper ground”, he added.

Advo. Jaspal Singh Manjhpur has sent copies of judgments in aforesaid three cases (in which Paramjit Singh Pamma is named by Indian authorities) to the Sikh Siyasat News (SSN) which are being shared as follows:
