Insaaf March representing 8.1 million signature against execution of Prof. Bhullar leaves for Delhi

Fatehgarh Sahib, Punjab (April 18, 2013): As per information an ‘Insaaf March’ in support of Prof Devinder Pal Singh Bhullar started from the holy city of Shri Fatehgarh Sahib today. More than a thousand are reportedly taking part in the procession towards Delhi.

The march is an initiative of Punjabi vernacular ‘Pehredaar’, that has been supported of various Sikh bodies and human rights organisations including Shiromani Akali Dal Amritsar, Akali Dal Panch Pardhani, SAD (Longowal), Punjab Human Rights Organization, Khalsa Action Committee, Damdami Taksal (Mehta), Sant Samaj, Baba Baljeet Singh Daduwal, All India Sikh Students Federation and United Khalsa Mission.

As per information the march started at around 3 pm on April 18, 2013 after performing ‘Ardaas’ at Gurdwara Jyoti Sarup Sahib. Various Sikh leaders also addressed the ‘sangat’.

A petition carrying 81 lakh signatures and resolutions by more than eight thousand resolutions village panchayats & registered societies would be handed over to Mr. Pranab Mukherjee, the President of India tomorrow in opposition to execution of Prof. DPS Bhullar.

Those present on this occasion included S. Jaspal Singh Heran, Chief Editor, Daily ‘Pehredaar’, former Akal Takht Jathedar Bhai Ranjit Singh, SAD (A) president S. Simranjit Singh Mann and Bhai Dhiaan Singh Mand, Baba Baljit Singh Daduwal, Panch Pardhani leader Bhai Harpal Singh Cheema and Bhai Mandhir Singh, AISSF president Karnail Singh Peermohammad, Khalsa Action Committee Convenor Bhai Mohkam Singh, S. Gurtej Singh IAS (Retd.), Justice Ajit Singh Bains (Retd.), Navkiran Singh Senior Advocate, SGPC Member and representative of Sant Samaj Bhai Gurpreet Singh, Advocate Amar Singh Chahal, Advocate Tejinder Singh Soodan and others.
