Jarnail Singh had registered his protest against CBI’s clean chit to Sikh genocide accused Jagdish Tytler in April 2019. During a press conference by the then Indian Home Minister P. Chitambram, S. Jarnail Singh had hurled a show towards Chitambram as a token of his protest. He had quit journalism after this incident.

After joining the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) S. Jarnail Singh was elected as a member of state assembly of Delhi from Rajouri Garden.

On 30th of June 2015 S. Jarnail Singh moved a motion in Delhi state assembly condemning the ‘Sikh Genocide’ of 1984. The motion was passed by the state assembly unanimously, including the three MLAs of the BJP.

Though Indian state denies the fact of Sikh Genocide 1984 and tires to oppose its recognition by International authorities but it cannot deny or hide the fact of Delhi’s state assembly recognizing the ‘Sikh Genocide’ of 1984.

S. Jarnail Singh will be remembered for his historic works, and getting Sikh genocide recognized by Delhi’s state assembly is one such work.
