Journalist Ved Partap Vaidik says: “I feels like spitting on the faces of insane MPs”

New Delhi, India (September 07, 2014): Indian Journalist Ved Pratap Vaidik who had was bitterly criticized by Indian media and politicians for holding meeting with Hafiz Saeed, founder of Jamait-ud-Dawa, today called the Members of Indian Parliament as ‘insane’. He was referring to those Indian MPs who had criticized his meeting with Hafiz Saeed in Pakistan. Ved Partap Vaidik further said that he feels like “spitting on the faces of these insane MPs”.

However, Ved Partap Vaidik was quick to sense the controversy and retraced from his statement saying, “I respect Parliament, just strongly reacted against those parliamentarians who misguide parliament.”

Giving a clarification over his controversial statement on MPs, the freelance journalist further said, “A Parliament which takes wrong decisions under influence of wrong people, should be rejected by the people.”

Ved Pratap Vaidik is a close aide of Yoga trainer and Hindu priest Baba Ramdev. Ved Pratap Vaidik is also considered in good terms with Bhartiya Janta Party (BJP) senior leader L. K. Advani.

The meeting/ interview between Ved Partap Vaidik and Hafiz Saeed reportedly took place on July 02, 2014 in Pakistan.

BJP government had offered clarification about Vaidik-Saeed meeting that the Indian government had not sanctioned the meeting.
