Kaurnama: Saga of Shaheedi Women of Kharkoo Struggle” Book to be Released on May 6 at Panjwar

Tarn Taran: In a poignant tribute to the indomitable spirit of Shaheed Sikh women, a new book titled “Kaurnama: Saga of Shaheedi Women of Kahrkoo Struggle” is set to be unveiled on May 6th at village Panjwar. This significant event coincides with a Shaheedi Samagam, commemorating the sacrifice of Shaheed Paramjit Singh Panjwar, whose visionary idea sparked the genesis of this literary endeavor.

The brainchild of Bhai Panjwar, “Kaurnama” emerges as a testament to his enduring legacy and unwavering commitment to preserving the narratives of courageous Sikh women who played pivotal roles in the Jujharoo struggle. Bhai Panjwar was assassinated while in exile. 

Authored by Baljinder Singh Kotbhara, the book delves into the lives of Shaheed women, offering poignant glimpses into their unwavering resolve, resilience, and sacrifice. Through concise yet compelling biographies, “Kaurnama” pays homage to these unsung heroes, whose contributions have shaped the Sikh narrative of resistance and resilience.

Under the guidance of Panth Sewak Bhai Daljit Singh, the completion of this project stands as a collective endeavor of dedication and reverence. Bhai Daljit Singh’s mentorship ensured that the essence of each narrative was captured with authenticity and reverence, honoring the profound legacies of the Shaheed women.
