London: Two men charged for “attacking” Kuldip Brar

London, UK (October 08, 2012): According to media reports two men have been charged by Scotland Yard Police for manhandling Kuldip Brar alias Bulbul Brar, a retired Indian Army officer who had attacked Sikh shrines in June 1984.

Both men, reportedly of Indian origin, would be presented before Westminster Magistrates’ Court on October 08, 2012 itself the Metropolitan police said in a statement adding that both had been charged with wounding with intent to do grievous bodily harm on Gen Brar in Old Quebec Street, last Sunday. 

The two have been identified as 33 y ears old Barjinder Singh Sangha of Wolverhampton and 34 year old Mandeep Singh Sandhu of Great Barr, Birmingham. 

The Metropolitan Police Service which had taken 15 men into custody had handed over three to the UK Border Agency as they were not related to the crime but had some issues of immigration.

Earlier it was said that 9 out of the 12 people had been released and three were in custody but now the police have charged two for attempt to murder.
