Low performance in LS polls: Rahul Gandhi summons fact finding committee to New Delhi

New Delhi, India (June 07, 2014): According to media reports, The vice presidents of All India Congress Committee Rahul Gandhi has summoned members of fact finding committee to New Delhi for June 9.

The committee was formed to find the reasons behind the defeat of state unit in recent Lok Sabha elections in the chairmanship of Dhani Ram Sandhil, a minister from Himachal Pradesh.

The committee had just started working on June 5 and few candidates appeared in front of the party including Partap Singh Bajwa, Joginder Singh Panjgrayin and Sadhu Singh Dharamsot on the first and Mohinder Singh KP, Harminder Gill and Vijayendera Singla on the second day. They described the reasons behind the defeat in the respective constituencies.

Maharani Praneet Kaur, Junil Jakhar and Ambika Soni failed to apear in front of the committee. The committee had received fact that most of the MLAs preferred to campaign either in Amritsar or in Anandpur Sahib, media reports added.
