Ludhiana/Chandigarh: The court of Arun Veer Vashisht, Additional Session Judge Ludhiana, has directed the Tihar Jail authorities to present Sikh political prisoner Bhai Jagtar Singh Hawara in the court in person.
Bhai Hawara’s lawyer Advocate Jaspal Singh Manjhpur said that the court has issued production warrants of Bhai Jagtar Singh Hawara for 6th of February 2019 directing superintendent of Central Jail Tihar, New Delhi to present Bhai Jagtar Singh Hawara in the court.
Advocate Manjhpur said that the warrants are issued on January 11, 2019 in case FIR No. 134/1995 registered at police station Kotwali, Ludhiana.
The case was registered under section 4 and 5 of Explosives Act and section 25 of Arms Act, he told Sikh Siyasat News (SSN) over phone.

It may be recalled here that that the Indian state has confined Bhai Jagtar Singh Hawara in Delhi’s Tihar Jail and he is not being presented in the courts in Punjab. Actually Bhai Jagtar Singh Hawara has no pending case in Delhi where as he has some pending cases in Punjab and the authorities cite “security reasons” for not presenting him in the Punjab courts.
