Chandigarh: In the wake of Monday night’s incident in which one officer and two soldiers of Indian Army were killed in a fight with Chinese military, Major Generals of China and India are talking to defuse the situation in the Galwan Valley, Ladakh and other areas.
Preliminary reports on Tuesday indicated that the soldiers had not been shot, but had been killed in a rock-throwing melee that was similar to fights that broke out last month along the border and seriously injured several soldiers on both sides.
Notably it was the first time since 1975 that soldiers had been killed in a skirmish along the border.
