Manjit Singh GK, Manjinder Sirsa, 7 others convicted for protesting against Sajjan Kumar’s acquittal

New Delhi, India: A court of Metropolitan Magistrate of Delhi today convicted Delhi Sikh Gurdwara Prabhandak Committee (DSGMC) President Majit Singh GK and eight others for holding protests against acquittal of Sikh genocide accused Sajjan Kumar earlier this years. Others convicted by the Delhi court include DSGMC leader Manjider Singh Sirsa, Kuldeep Singh Bhogal, SAD National Organizing Secretary, Tanwant Singh, DSGMC Vice President, Paramjit Singh Rana, Chairman Dharam Prachar Committee of DSGMC Inderjeet Singh Monty and Samarbir Singh Sunny both Members of DSGMC, Jasprit Singh Mann Chief Advisor to DSGMC general secretary and Swaranjit Singh Brar Director Sports of DSGMC.

Majit Singh GK and other leaders of Shiromani Akali Dal (Badal) Delhi Unit and DSGMC had staged protests against acquittal of Congress leader and Sikh Genocide accused Sajjan Kumar by an Indian court in a November 1984 Sikh massacre related case on April 30, 2014.

The court sentenced the ‘convicts’ to stand in the court till the rising of the court as ‘symbolic punishment’.

Manjit Singh GK and others told the court that they did not commit any offense and they would continue to protest for securing justice for the Sikhs.
