In a petition moved by through their counsel RS Bains, Panch Parthani has informed the High Court that they are organizing a memorial march dedicated to Tri-century of Sikh rule established by Baba Banda Singh Bahadur, from 1 to 6 June. Prior information in this regard was duly tendered to DGP (Punjab Police) and Chief Secretary of Punjab Government.

“This even is neither banned by the Government, nor any notice was served on party in this regard, but the police is hunting Panch Pardhani leaders to arrest them, just to foil the march, at the political directions of the ruling party.” alleged Bhai Harpal Singh Cheema, Secretary Generall of Panch Pardhani, who is organizing the residual strength of the Party to make the Memorial March a success. Party counsel informed that while accepting the petition of SAD (Panch Pardhani), the High Court has served the notice on Punjab Government to file a reply at ten in morning on Tuesday. “This is a democratic country and everyone has right to democratically and peacefully hold processions, mark historic events and propagate their ideology.” said RS Bains. He said that they are hopeful that the Court shall uphold the democratic spirit of the constitution by granting requested relief.
