Chandigarh: In a written statement issued in Punjabi/Gurmukhi today (copy available with SSN), Shiromani Akali Dal Amritsar (Mann) chief Simranjit Singh Mann said that talks on terrorism between US President Donald Trump and Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi were okay but how could they bring the terror to end without ending the state-terror unleashed by the Indian state on minorities?

He accused Narandra Modi for orchestrating genocide of Muslims in 2002 inĀ Gujarat when he was CM of Gujarat. Mann further said that under Narendra Modi regime 60 thousand well-settled Sikhs were uprooted from Gujarat and today, under BJP government, the members of minority communities, the Dalits and tribal are suffering from the state-terror. He said that Narendra Modi should explain before the international community that how could terror be brought to an end without ending the state-sponsored terror?
