Amritsar, Punjab (March 08, 2014): Cricketer- turned- politician and three- time BJP Member of Parliament Navjot Sidhu may not get the party ticket for the Amritsar Lok Sabha seat this time.

As per some media reports Navjot Sidhu hinted has that the top BJP leadership had offered him seats other than Amritsar. He said: “Neither any allurement nor fear can drive me away from Amritsar. I told the party that I could not betray the trust of the people of Amritsar. Now, it is for the party to decide on the issue.”
There have been reports of Navjot Sidhu having been offered the West Delhi seat by the BJP leadership.
He reiterated that it depended on Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal whether he was allotted the ticket from Amritsar or not.
He alleged that CM Badal had suggested a top BJP leader that he (Sidhu) should contest from Amritsar, promising that he would be victorious. Sidhu said he wondered as to why he was being shown the door now when the BJP seemed set to return to power.
