NIA Trying to Compel Bagga and Shera to Make “Confession”: claims Defense Council

Mohali: The National Investigation Agency (NIA) of India today re-produced Ramandeep Singh Bagga and Hardeep Singh Shera before a duty judge of the special NIA Court in Mohali. The Additional Sessions Judge Ms Girish sent duo to judicial custody in case RC/27/17/DLI that is related to the killing of a Hindu outfit leader Amit Sharma.

After this the the NIA arrested both Ramandeep Singh Bagga and Hardeep Singh Shera in case RC/26/17/DLI that is related to firing at  Rashtriya Swayamsewak Sangh (RSS) Shakha in Kidwai Nagar of Ludhiana. They were sent to judicial custody for 7 days till 2nd January 2018.

Meanwhile, defense council of Bagga and Shera has alleged that his clients were being pressurized by the NIA officials to make ‘confession’ in these cases.

“Both Ramandeep Singh Bagga and Hardeep Singh Shera told me today that the NIA officials were compelling them to make confessions in these cases”, said Advocate Jaspal Singh Manjhpur maintained while interacting with the Sikh Siyasat News.

Meanwhile, the NIA also re-produced Taljit Singh @ Jimmy Singh in Kidwai Nagar firing case and he was sent to jail under the judicial custody by the court.
