Khadur Sahib: Jagdeep Kaur, trainee at Nishan-e-Sikhi Institute of Career and Courses running under the patronage of Baba Sewa Singh Kar Sewa Khadur Sahib Wale, has been selected as Police Sub-Inspector by securing top position in state-level recruitment examination conducted by Punjab Police. Not only this, Jagdeep Kaur has also broken previous record of top score i.e. 75 percent and got 79 percent marks.
A special function was organized today in Nishan-e-Sikhi auditorium to honour the brilliant girl for the outstanding performance in exam. Baba Sewa Singh offered congratulations to her and honoured her with Siropa and memento.
Addressing the function, Baba Sewa Singh advised Jagdeep Kaur to render holy service of humanity honestly as well as to follow path taught by Gurus.
Sharing the secrets behind her success with the juniors, Jagdeep Kaur said she worked very hard to achieve her tough goal and the institute like Nishan-e-Sikhi helped her a lot in meeting the destination. She said ‘Waheguru’ blessed her due to her attachment with Gurbani.
Thanking to Baba Sewa Singh, she said he is making great efforts of providing high level educational facilities girls especially to those who belong to rural area or weaker section of the society.
While addressing, Canada based Sikh scholar Dr. Raghbir Singh Bains lauded Jagdeep Kaur and said she has brightened the name of her parents as well as the institute. He inspired her to achieve higher rank.
Talking to media persons, Institute director Baldev Singh Sandhu said that they have been preparing the girls for police and defence forces and more 300 girls have been selected so far. Out of which, some girls have been selected for officer ranks. He said the coaching facilities are provided free of cost.
