New Delhi: A court in Delhi here today declined to uphold charges against Sikh political prisoner Bhai Harminder Singh Mintoo under the Unlawful Activities Prevention Act in the Nabha Jail break case of November 2016.

Counsel of Bhai Harminder Singh Mintoo, Advocate Paramjit Singh told SikhSiyast News that of the FIR No 66/ 2016 a case under Section 25 of Arms Act, and Section 353, 186 of IPC has been registered against him. But the Patiala Court based, Additional Sessions  Judge Sidharth Sharma refused to register a case under UAP Act following the Nabha Jail break case against the accused. It is notable that Bhai Harminder Singh Mintoo along with 4 other inmates escaped from maximum security prison in Nabha on 26 November 2016.

Soon after his escape he was again apprehended by Delhi Police the very next day from Nizzamudin Railway station in Old Delhi.
