Panthic bodies declare to hold Ardaas at Village Waraich Gurudwara Sahib on Sept. 2

Amritsar/Jalandhar, Punjab (August 21, 2012): According to media reports the Panthic Groups, including Shiromani Akali Dal (Amritsar), Akali Dal Panch Pardhani, Dal Khalsa, Khalsa Action Committeee, Panthic Sewa Lehar and Damdami Taksal, Ajnala, have reiterated their resolve to hold a Ardaas Samagam on 2nd September at Gurdwara Baba Jiwan Singh, Waraich near Dera Radha Soami and a Panthic Conference at Rayya on 20th September over the issue of dismantling of Gurdwara at Waraich.

“SAD Amritsar leader Bhai Dhian Singh Mand, Khalsa Action Committee Convener Bhai Mohkam Singh, Akali Dal Panch Pardhani leader and SGPC member Bhai Kulbir Singh Barapind, Damdami Taksal leader Bhai Amrik Singh Ajnala and Sri Guru Granth Sahib Satkar Committee president Balbir Singh Mucchal, addressing a press conference here said that it is the duty of every Sikh to uphold the glory and respect of Gurdwaras but it was unfortunate that Giani Gurbachan Singh, jathedar of Akal Takht, chose to give a clean chit to Dera Radha Soami, Beas on the issue of dismantling of Gurdwara at Waraich” reports “Yes Punjab” (YP).

The leaders are reported to have said that in the wake of the Akal Takht decision the panthic groups decided to ‘boycott’ the jathedar as they thought that going to him time and again with panthic issues and problems was of no use.

As such in the meeting of the panthic groups, it was decided to form a ‘Akal Takht Sewak Jatha’ and a report regarding Waraich Gurdwara issue prepared by this Jatha would be made public and placed before the Sangat.

The leaders also hinted at their plan to reconstruct the Gurdwara at its original site at Waraich.

According to the reports those present at press conference included Jaskaran Singh Kahan Singh Wala, Baldev Singh Sirsa, Prof. Mohinder Pal Singh, Jasbir Singh Khadoor Sahib, Iqbal Singh, Manjit Singh Reru, Amrik Singh Isru, Jagdish Singh Malhi, Mandhir Singh, Dr. Jasbir Singh, Rajinder Singh Fauji, Paramjit Singh Saholi, Gurmukh Singh Jalandhari, Jassa Singh Mandiala, Surinder Singh, Gurmukh Singh and some other leaders.
