Parmjeet Singh elected as new head of ‘Sikh Youth of Punjab’

Punjab: Sikh Youth of Punjab recently elected it’s new president to carry forward the work and mission of the organization. SYP elected Paramjit Singh as it’s new head who replaced Nobeljit Singh.

Parmjeet Singh, who hails from Hoshiarpur district in Punjab, is connected with the Sikh Youth of Punjab since last five years. He reportedly played special role in strengthening the organization and raising it’s membership.

A press release by SYP says a new working committee and office bearers would be nominated shortly.

The newly elected members reiterated their resolve to continue its fight against drug menace, disrespect to women and yellow literature with persuasion, education and arming residents of Punjab with the knowledge.

The gathering also decided to follow the original Nanakshahi calendar and observe the Parkash Utsav of Guru Gobind Singh on Jan 5th.

The meeting expressed profound grief and sorrow over the massacre of 132 kids by Taliban in Peshawar. In its condolence message to victims family members and people of Pakistan.
