Patiala police gets 5 days police remand of Ramandeep Singh Goldy in Rulda Singh Murder case

Patiala, Punjab: Media reports say Ramandeep Singh Goldy was remanded in five-day police custody by Patiala Judicial Magistrate First Class Jagmeet Singh on November 14. Police says that he was arrested last week from the Chennai airport in connection with the murder of the Rashtriya Sikh Sangat state president Rulda Singh in 2009. The controversial Rashtriya Sikh Sangat is an affiliate of the Hindutva fountainhead Rashtriya Swayamseak Sangh (RSS).

A police team led by DSP (City) Gurdev Dhaliwal brought Ramandeep Singh Goldy to the court. The investigating agency said it had to ascertain the funding channel of the plot and identify the local people who allegedly helped Ramandeep Singh Goldy. According to Punjab police Ramandeep Singh Goldy is chief of Khalistan Tiger Force (KTF).

While the counsel for the police said they needed more time to question Ramandeep Singh Goldy to get his password and email details, the counsel for Ramandeep Singh Goldy said that Goldy had nothing to do with Rulda’s murder. The court directed the police to get Ramandeep Singh Goldy medically examined every day.
