Chandigarh: Punjab and Haryana High Court in Chandigarh has reportedly taken suo motu cognisance of of Moga Orbit bus molestation case in which a teenaged girl died after being allegedly thrown off a bus along with her mother.
The High Court took notice of the issue after it received a letter from some person about the incident. The letter will come up for hearing before the division bench of Justices Satish Kumar Mittal and Harinder Singh Sidhu. State of Punjab is listed as respondent in this case besides others.
It may be recalled that a 13 years old girl was pushed off a moving bus on April 30 along with her mother after they resisted molestation attempts. The bus belongs to Orbit Aviation, the company owned by Punjab’s ruling Badal family.
