Kotkapura: Thousands of Sikhs gathered at Bargari village today to pay tributes to two Sikhs killed in police firing at Behbal Kalan village. Bhog of Sri Akhand Path Sahib were held at houses of Shaheed Bhai Gurjeet Singh Sarawan and Shaheed Bhai Krishan Bhagwan Singh Niamiwala in the morning. Local Sikh sangat and leaders of some Panthic organizations attended these samagas.
A large samagam was held at sports stadium of Bargari village that was attended by around thirty-five thousand Sikhs. Sikh religious and political personalities participated in this samagam that was also attended by leaders of some of Punjab’s political parties.
Akal Takhat Sahib Panj Pyara Bhai Major Singh, Giani Kewal Singh, Giani Balwant Singh Nandgarh, Jathedar Ranjit Singh, Bhai Panthpreet Singh, Bhai Ranjit Sindh Dhadrian, Bhai Daljit Singh, Bhai Amrik Singh Ajnala, Bhai Ram Singh Sangrawan, Sarbjit Singh Dhunda, Harajinder Singh Manjhi, S. Simranjeet Singh Mann, S. Parmjeet Singh Sarna (SAD Delhi), S. Dhian Singh Mand, Advo. Prahsant Bhushan, Sucha Singh Chhotepur (AAP), Sukhpal Singh Khaira (Congress), Dharamvir Gandhi (Patiala MP), Jagdish Singh Jhinda were prominent among those who addressed the gathering.
