Chandigarh: As per media reports, the Chandigarh police today used force against agitating students at Punjab University Chandigarh. A report on ABP Sanjha website notes that the police cane-charged students when they tried to cross the barricades places by the police.

Notably, students of the Punjab University and various city based colleges have been protesting against hike in fees.
Students of Government College for Girls came out of college campus and took to roads to register their protest. Students are calling for roll back of hike in fees.
