Police Remand of Ramandeep Singh and Harminder Singh Mintoo Extended

Moga: The district police today presented Ramandeep Singh and Harminder Singh Mintoo before the court of judicial magistrate at Baghapurana. Advocate Jaspal Singh Manjhpur appeared as defence council for duo.

The police pleaded that the custody of Ramandeep Singh and Harminder Singh Mintoo was required to inquire the whereabouts of two persons (code)named PHD and Bai Ji whose name have emerged during the interrogation. The police further pleaded that the custody of Ramandeep Singh was needed to trace his alleged links in Meruth from where he had procured weapons.
Defence council opposed the police plea arguing that the police already the custody of arrested persons on similar ground and there was no justification for extension of police remand.
After hearing both sides the court extended the custody of Ramandeep Singh for 3 more days and Harminder Singh Mintoo for 2 days.
