Revision of Electoral Rolls: CEO Urges Political Parties to Appoint BLAs

Chandigarh: A meeting was held here today at the office of the Chief Electoral Officer (CEO), Punjab, with the representatives of all the registered political parties concerning the revision of electoral rolls.

The meeting was chaired by additional CEO Manpreet Singh Chhatwal in which he made an appealed to the representatives of  various  political party to appoint their workers as Booth Level Agents (BLAs) to ensure that nobody gets deprived of the right of being registered as a voter nor does anybody’s vote get deleted wrongly and every body’s vote is made in accordance with the rules.

Divulging more, he said that during the revision of photo voter lists this time it would be made sure that everybody of the age of 18 years gets registered as a voter. He further said that apart from this, the BLAs would also ensure that a probable list of those voters is made who are to attain the age of 18 years on 1-1-2018 in order to make sure that in future, they are registered as voters without any delay.

During the meeting, apart from representatives of political parties, Deputy CEO Punjab Sukhdev Lal was also present.
