Amritsar, Punjab: Bhai Baldeep Singh who had contested last Lok Sabha election from Khadoor Sahib constituency from Aam Aadmi Party’s ticket has expressed his concerns over ouster of senior party leaders Yogendra Yadav, Prashant Bhushan, Prof. Anand Kumar and Ajit Jha.

In an early morning post over social network website Facebook, Bhai Baldeep Singh wrote:

“I am just a minnow in the AAP but, what were the reasons that actually forced people like Prashant Bhushan, a Shanti Bhushan and several others involved in the candidate selection process to distance themselves from the active electoral campaign? Party principles were compromised in the selection process and I do not see any logic in blaming people who legitimately called foul, a foul. I do not see any logic in shunting out people who are asking for the implementation of the very principles that the AAP was founded upon. I also do not endorse the way this witch-hunt —this pack-hunting has been going on. I do not see people like Professor Anand Kumar, Prashant and even Yogendra as rebels not dissidents. They just have had a few questions which by no measure have been found to be lacking in substance.

I would also like to have a party flag without any individual’s image. It is desecration. I have had to use them in the past for there was nothing else that was made available – now that I know where from, I will have a few custom made.

Lastly, people are hallucinating because of the numbers in their pockets. Well, they are starting – numbers is what they will get. Bull-shit, my friends, is okay but it unfortunately is of limited use.”

Meanwhile, Medha Patekar has resigned from the Aam Aadmi Party in protest to disrespectful removal of Yogendra Yadav, Prashant Bhushan, Ajit Jha and Anand Kumar others from the Aam Aadmi Party’s National Council (NC). These leaders were removed from AAP’s NC on March 28. The NC meeting also witnessed violence as Arvind Kejriwal’s camp did not allow dissidents to address the meeting.
