Chandigarh: In a press release issued late evening yesterday, Punjab CM Parkash Singh Badal and Deputy CM Sukhbir Badal strongly condemned the gun-attack on Brig (retd.) Jagdish Gagneja, Vice President of the RSS (Punjab). Jagdish Chandar was shot at in Jalandhar last evening.
Deputy CM Sukhbir Badal said that strictest and prompt action will be taken against the culprits, reads the statement.

As per statement CM Badal has directed the district civil and police authorities maintain maximum vigil and ensure that the attackers are apprehended at the earliest.
The chief minister also immediately directed authorities in Ludhiana to arrange for a team of top senior surgeons from the local DMC to be rushed to Jalandhar to attend to Brig Gagneja.
He said that the govt will continue to follow a policy of zero tolerance against any attempt to disturb the communal harmony in the state.
