Punjab Govt. exploring court order on Ashutosh’s cremation, says Sikhbir Badal

Chandigarh: While addressing a press conference in Chandigarh Punjab Deputy Chief Minister Sukhbir Badal said that Punjab government was still exploring Punjab and Haryana High Court order directing Punjab govt. to cremate the dead body of controversial godman and head of Dera Noormehal Ashutosh.
In reply to media query about the high court order asking the government to go ahead with performing the last rites of “clinically dead” ‘dera’ head Ashutosh, Sukhbir said the government was still “examining the court order”.
“The dera management is within its rights to explore its legal options. But we will ensure that law and order is maintained,” Sukhbir Badal added.
