Punjab police claims to arrest KLF chief Harminder Singh Mintoo from Delhi Airport

New Delhi/ Chandigarh: Punjab police today claimed to have secured massive arrest in it’s crack down against alleged Sikh militants. The police said that Khalistan Liberation Force (KLF) chief Harminder Singh alias Mintoo was arrested this morning from the Delhi airport after he was deported from Thailand by the authorities there. Police said that Harminder Singh Mintoo was arrested along with another person named Gurpreet Singh.

A Hindustan Times (HT) report says the Punjab police sources maintain that Harminder Singh Mintoo was tracked by police in Thailand’s capital Bangkok. He was deported after the matter was pursued with the Thai authorities by Punjab police and central agencies.

Police also arrested Harminder Singh Mintoo’s aide Gurpreet Singh, who was also deported from Thailand.

The police says that Harminder Singh Mintoo was wanted in various cases by the Punjab police.
