The incident had taken place on December 01.

The SIT was announced by the administration on December 12 in wake of pressure from various Sikh organizations reportedly submitted it’s report on Monday (December 15), which says that the fire incident occurred due to power short-circuit and thereby ruled out ‘any hand’ of Dera Noormehal followers in this incident.

The report says that sewadar/ Granthi of Gurdwara was out of Gurdwara Sahib when the incident took place. It says that the the incident was spotted by neighbours.

The two-members SIT comprised Amritsar Police commissioner Jatinder Pal Singh Aulakh and SSP Gurpreet Singh Gill. They claimed that due to these naked wires, the short circuit took place.
