September 1, 2012 | By

Beas/Rayya, Punjab (September 01, 2012): According to information the Panthic bodies will be jointly holding Ardas samagam at Village Waraich Gurudwara Sahib. It is notable that one of the Gurudwara Sahibs of this village were destroyed by Dera Radha Swami Beas management to secure expansion of dera in the vicinity.

The matter of destruction of Gurudwara Sahib had triggered strong opposition to dera Radha Soami Beas but the dera management used it’s political links to secure clean chit via Shiromani Gurudwara Prabhandak Committee (SGPC).

It is worth mentioning here that currently SGPC is controlled by Badal Dal and dera current dera head has family relations with main leadership of Badal Dal. A relative of current dera head Gurinder Singh Dhillon is wed to Bikramjeet Singh Majithiya who is brother-in-law of Badal Dal president Sukhbir Badal. This party (Badal Dal) is in government power in Punjab.

Despite the clean chit awarded to dera due to political reasons various Sikh organizations including Shiromani Akali Dal Amritsar (led by S. Simranjeet Singh Mann), Akali Dal Panch Pardhani (led by Bhai Kulbir Singh Barapind), Ajnala faction of Damdami Taksal, Sri Guru Granth Sahib Satikar Sabha, Dal Khasla, Panthic Sewa Lehar formed a seventeen member joint committee to oppose the misdeeds of Dera Radha Swami and expose it’s activities.

According to information available with Sikh Siyasat the joint committee has extended invitations to all Sikh political, religious and social groups’ leadership to take part in September 02, 2012 ardas. Invitations have also been sent to Bhai Ranjit Singh and Giani Joginder Singh Vedanti, both former Jathedars of Akal Takhat Sahib.
