Why Rahul Gandhi is silent over SYL Issue, asks Dhindsa

Chandigarh: Badal Dal’s secretary general Sukhdev Singh Dhindsa yesterday lashed out against All India Congress Committee (AICC) vice president Rahul Gandhi for deliberate silence on the Satluj Yamuna Link (SYL) canal issue and continuously defaming Punjabis youth by calling a majority of them drug addicts.

In a written statement, Dhindsa also ridiculed Rahul and his statement that Punjab was close to his heart,” did your ancestors sent tanks and mortars to bleed the same heart. If Punjab is close to your heart, why your heart not beats on the injustice and discrimination faced by Punjab since independence. The congress governments have repeatedly humiliated Punjab by calling our demands anti-national.
