Rajdev Singh shower praise on anti-Sikh offshoot of Hindutva RSS

July 10, 2015 | By

Barnala: Rashtriya Sikh Sangat’s newly inducted Malwa in-charge and former MP Rajdev Singh Khalsa on Wednesday accused the political leaders of trying to malign the image of Rashtriya Swayamsewak Sangh (RSS) by projecting it as untouchable for the Sikhs and the Muslims.

Rajdev Singh, who recently joined Hindutva ranks, claimed that Rashtriya Sikh Sangat (an offshoot of Hindutva fountainhead RSS) was the “biggest sympathizer” of the Sikhs.

He claimed that Rashtriya Sikh Sangat was projected as “anti-Sikh” group by those who had feared challenge from to their authority from it.

Speaking to newspersons in Barnala, former MP showered praise on RSS and said that the Hindutva body was an organization of freedom fighters and patriots.

He demanded the scrapping of blacklist of Sikhs and release of Jagtar Sing Hawara from jail after the completion of his sentence. He said that Rashtriya Sikh Sangat (unilaterally) supports the cause of Sikh political prisoners taken up by Bapu Surat Singh Khalsa.

Talking about his role in Rashtriya Sikh Sangat, Rajdev Singh said, “Now my first priority will be to form units of the outfit across the region. Earnest efforts will be made to spread the ideology of the Rashtriya Sikh Sangat.”

Rashtriya Sikh Sangat was formed after 1984:

It is notable that the Hindutva fountainhead RSS had decided to form a Sikh wing after the events of 1984. Rashtriya Sikh Sangat was formed on November 26, 1986. The Hindutva outfit aims at deleting the Sikh identity and ideology, while projecting Sikh faces as it’s members and office bearers and thereby speedup the devil plans of Hindutva forces to assimilate the Sikh religion into Hindutva fold.

Rashtriya Sikh Sangat was declared as Anti-Sikh outfit by Akal Takhat Sahib in 2004:

In 2004 the ‘Rashtriya Sikh Sangat’ was declared ‘anti Sikh’ outfit by five Sikh Jatehdars in an official message (Sandesh) issued from the Akal Takht Sahib. After 2004 the Rashtriya Sikh Sangat’s presence turned negligible. RSS took no time to revive the Rashtriya Sikh Sangat after Hindutva forces headed by RSS-and-Bhartiya Janta Party (BJP) secured political power in India in May 2014.
