Rajoana’s sister files nomination from Patiala; Claims support of Sant Samaj

Patiala, Punjab (April 04, 2014): As per information Bibi Kamaldeep Kaur, sister of Bhai Balwant Singh Rajoana, has filed her nomination papers from the Patiala Lok Sabha seat as an independent candidate. She filed her nomination papers on April 03.
Balwant Singh Rajoana is on death row in the assassination case of former Punjab Chief Minister Beant Singh and is at present lodged in Patiala Jail.

Three time MP Parneet Kaur is Congress candidate from Patiala. Badal Dal has fielded former congressman Deepinder Singh Dhillon from Patiala. Another prominent contestant at Patiala is Dr. Dharamvir, who is contesting election on Aam Aadmi Party’s ticket.
Talking to reporters after filing her papers, Bibi Kamaldeep Kaur claimed to have support of Sant Samaj led by Baba Harnam Singh Dhumma.
She said that her brother Balwant Singh Rajoana has written an open letter to all Sikhs as well as Sant Samaj asking them to treat her as his candidate and to extend their support to her.
